The U.S. Air Force on Saturday released photos of military personnel reacting after an F-16 from Hill Air Force Base crashed outside a base in Afghanistan.

The jet from the 421st Fighter Squadron crashed shortly after takeoff on Tuesday. The pilot ejected and was reported in good condition. The Air Force has not disclosed the cause of the crash except to say it was not from hostile fire.

The photos released Saturday do not show the crash site itself, but the Air Force says the photos show soldiers and marines securing the crash scene and beginning the investigation.
